Dr. Jonathan Huston is a licensed psychologist at CBT Los Angeles, specializing in evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for a range of anxiety and mood disorders. He currently teaches cognitive behavioral therapy at the graduate level at the California School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Huston specializes in college, graduate student, and emerging adult mental health, as well as anxiety disorders, depression, perfectionism, and meaning of life concerns throughout the lifespan. Through his work at Utah State University and other religious institutions over his career, he gained experience working with clients in religious transition periods. Dr. Huston focuses on building collaborative relationships with his clients and using therapy not just as a means of symptom reduction, but as a springboard for clients to build a valued, vibrant, and flexible life.

Dr. Huston received his bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in Indiana, majoring in psychology and minoring in counseling psychology. He earned a combined Ph.D. in counseling and school psychology from the State University of New York, University at Buffalo, where his research focused on the role of language in therapy. Dr. Huston has served as a therapist at a number of universities across the country, including completing his APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Utah State University’s counseling center."
